Meet Christina Green

Cristina Green grew up in Lansing.In 2008, she attended Lansing Community College and earned an Associate of Arts degree before transferring to Michigan State University. There, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a focus on Archeology, Indian and Religious Studies.

While in college, she worked in the customer service department at Elderly Instruments, an instrument store that sold vintage and antique instruments, supporting global customers. She worked with the IT department to streamline processes, train her team, and document SOPs in digital format.

Her experience there led her to work in more technical support centers. Currently, Green is a Senior Manager for Customer Onboarding at Liquid Web.She manages the implementation and migration teams.

In December 2021, she moved to Upper Peninsula, Michigan, where she lives 100% independent in her 40-acre cabin.

Why did you join Liquidweb?

Growing up at Lansing over the years I have many friends and acquaintances who worked at LiquidWeb. They all described it as a great place to work.

Why are you drawn to the hosting industry as a career?

I can be part of something global.

Is there anything special about Liquid Web that you like?

My mentors and leaders promote work-life balance. I worked 24/7 and experienced burnout in previous positions. By being efficient and improving your processes, you can strike a balance and get the job done.

What’s your favorite part of Liquid Web’s company culture?

We welcome and embrace diversity. Every day I interact with people from all over the world.

What is the biggest milestone you have achieved?

For me it goes beyond my socioeconomic status. I grew up without much and had a rough childhood. Despite getting good grades, I barely graduated high school because I left home at 16 and worked four jobs to make ends meet. . Now I am grateful to own my fortune and have a successful career.

Tell us about an amazing customer experience you’ve had with Liquid Web.

My favorite customer experience is being able to change things. I love being able to help customers overcome obstacles and take advantage of fantastic products and services.

What are you known for on Liquid Web? What specifically do people come to you for?

I am a fixer. If the process is broken or doesn’t make sense, people can bring it to me so I can improve it. I take ownership of every part of the Liquid Web process and work to improve it for my clients, my team, and the business.

What is one thing you wish your customers knew about hosting?

We have a team of outstanding people to help with any obstacles they experience.

What is your nickname on Liquid Web and why?

Some people call me “Best friends” because they bring me a lot of trouble. I’m looking for someone who can fix them or do them.

Work aside, what are your hobbies?

i like to hikeMaking art (I mostly journal and crochet), growing and preserving food, foraging, sustainable living, self-reliance, identifying trees and plants, and cutting firewood.

What’s your favorite TV show?

Community. My second favorite is Parks and Recreation. Both have great character development.

What’s your favorite app?

whisk! You know how to make me scroll online through a 19-page story about what happened to the famous cookies my grandmother made while growing up in Norway? This app bypasses all of that. And if you want to use something, you can search by material. I don’t live anywhere and I have to cook at home and this app helps me to be more creative.

If I could have dinner with a famous person [dead or alive]Who is it?
