Meet John Regino

John Regino has always had an interest in technology. After initially studying nursing, Regino worked for LUV Airline for 8 years, feeling she needed a more challenging role to satisfy her passion for technology. As a result, he was hired by the Rackspace email team in 2010 to leverage his service skills and find his passion for leadership.

Born, raised and currently residing in San Antonio, Texas, he has five cats (Terry, Spaghetti, Mongie, Garbagio, and Jacks) and a dog, and is the father of daughter Mea Lynn. John joined Liquid Web in October 2021 as Support Supervisor.

Why did you join Liquidweb?

At that time, I had just completed two years as an Operations Manager at a BPO company. I loved the company and the team I worked for, but I couldn’t do my part. As Operations Manager, I was responsible for managing the operational aspects and did not have much time to interact with the support team. Then I had the opportunity to join the Liquid Web family and work again with one of my mentors, Terry Dolliver. The company’s core values ​​align with mine, and this was my path back to the tech industry.

Why are you drawn to the hosting industry as a career?

I am a problem solver by nature. My passion for technology and problem solving is in the hosting industry.

Is there anything special about Liquid Web that you like?

Liquid Web’s support team is passionate and hardworking. We are grateful to know more members of our wonderful support team as the day progresses.

What’s your favorite part of Liquid Web’s company culture?

My favorite part of the company culture is Have fun and don’t take yourself too seriously. I host weekly quizzes with my 3 shift support team. Prizes that fit the quiz topic will be sent to the winners.

What is the difference between Liquid Web and other employers in your eyes?

We are creative and empowered to make decisions. But above all, We are encouraged not to be afraid to make mistakes.

What is the biggest milestone you have achieved?

One of the most important milestones in your first year at the company is Contribute to creating an attractive environment for 3rd shift support teams.

Tell us about an amazing customer experience you’ve had with Liquid Web.

One company I have a chance to engage with every day is Topps, a trading card company. ‘Cause I grew up collecting their baseball cards It is an honor to work with them to help solve their problems and resolve any issues that arise.

What are you known for on Liquid Web? What specifically do people come to you for?

I am very friendly Technicians contact me for a variety of reasons, including password resets, time adjustments, customer escalations, and handoff issues. Of course there are things that are not in my wheelhouse, but I always do my best to point you in the right direction.

What is one thing you wish your customers knew about hosting?

We have the most passionate and talented people. We treat customer problems with care.

What is your nickname on Liquid Web and why?

Most people call me by my last name, Regino. My nickname as a kid was Bud, after John Travolta’s character in the movie Urban Cowboy.

Work aside, what are your hobbies?

I am a collector of everything. From action figures to Funko pop to artwork (mostly music related) to Hot Wheels. I am also a lego maker. I have over 50 Lego sets, and I’m still counting. I hope to become a Lego Master Builder one day.

What’s your favorite TV show?

This is a bit difficult as I have a few favorites. The show I watched the most and still watch today “office.”

What’s your favorite app?

My most sought after app is TikTok. I love that the algorithm feeds your likes and I love the creativity of many creators.

If I could have dinner with a famous person [dead or alive]Who is it?

This is easy. Keanu Reeves. Besides being an outstanding actor, he embodies great qualities. Despite all the losses over the years, he is still humble and kind. The real question is what to talk about…
